I particularly appreciated these statistics:

In 2011 the total firearm murders came to 8583 according to the FBI.
Now during that time the total murders committed by rifles - all rifles, not just semi-automatic rifles - were 323.
That's 3 percent of all murders.
Hammers and clubs kill half again as many people as rifles.
Hands and feet murder twice as many.
And knives kill 5 times more Americans than all rifles combined.

Bob you think your rights are abused in the San Diego City Council Room?
Take a look at how tough it was for the three minutes of communication from the public in front of the Quartzsite AZ council.

In the background Mayor Ed Foster can be heard saying that the woman had the floor and still the police hauled Jennifer Jones away.

It's interesting that Barry Hess pointed out that it was the chief of police who was the center of corruption in this case. It might not be a coincidence that Jerry Sanders (former San Diego mayor) was also Chief of Police before he became mayor. Chief of Police is a pretty powerful position ... especially in the wrong hands. I believe the ongoing problems at Torrey are closely related to the power that Jerry Sanders held as Police Chief, Mayor, and even now as former mayor.

Also, the commentator made an excellent point about the people not stepping up. He said: "The citizenry just sat there." That's part of the problem with a society that has delegated 100% of its authority to the "professionals". People often wonder how people were killed during the Salem witch trials. It happened just like that.
