I'll get to work on it right now!!

So far I've created an experimental forum so I can test the style changes without disturbing your forum. It will be handy to have in the future to use while experimenting with other Chatper's styles.

I've also duplicated your old style with the suffix of 2013 and set your Chapter to use that style while I modify your regular style. That will also help in case there are any problems. I can switch back to the current style very easily.

OK, Here's the latest banner logo (you should see it at the top of the page as well):

site_logo.gif

If you look at the image (try clicking on it), you'll see that it's very wide and it's got a lot of black to the right. The purpose is to handle different screen widths. Most monitors and graphics cards these days are up around 1600 pixels wide. But some people may still have 1200, 1024, or even 800 pixel wide screens (or set them that way to make the text bigger). So I like the logo to look good on both smaller and wider screens. This one works well because all of the important stuff (club name, flight distances, and most of the picture) are in the left half of the image. Even better, the far right is pretty much all black, so you're not missing anything if your screen is average sized (or even smaller).

The only thing missing in this version is the distance on the Lubbock flight. I think it was 535 miles, but my memory for numbers isn't that good any more (although Bill may be helping me there!!). If you see anything else you'd like changed, please let me know.

Hi Bob,

Hope you had a relaxed Thanksgiving, and got full of turkey.

Can You send me an attachment of the SWTHG forum header you created?
Or tell me how to get it off here.

I'd like to use it to show just how many record flights are located in this area.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,

We did something unusual this Thanksgiving. We went to one of the local Indian casino buffet restaurants. I had turkey, prime rib, lamb, crab, and more other things than I can remember. Mmmmmm..... 8-)

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well.

I made the logo in high resolution and then scaled it down. I also extended the right side in black for wide screens. Here's the original in 3000x549 resolution:

Depending on your web browser, you should be able to right click on it and then choose a save option (typically "Save As..." or "Save Image As..."), and then give it a file name on your computer. You should be able to do that with almost any image on our site (including the banner itself or this high resolution version). If you have trouble getting a copy from here, please let me know and I can email it to you as well.

Thanks again to you and your club for your membership in the US Hawks!!!
