The Hawks actually have ... brought together some of the most historic figures in the sport of hang gliding.

As just one example, Mavi should check out our continuing efforts to honor the participants and heritage of the first Otto meet.

LaVoy Finicum was murdered while surrendering to federal officials with his hand(s) in the air to send a message to MGF in his own back yard that ushpa antics are over. restore veteran Bobk and move on - or else.

Sometimes when someone feels less than confident, they reflect that lack of confidence onto those that challenge them (and who actually show more strength).

That seems to be the case here. Jack Ax knows that he and his "this is my living room" scenario over at the .org just can't compete with a group of serious hang glider pilots working to establish a new National HG Only Association.

As proof, look at the limp wristed results of Jack Ax taking over the HGAA. The HGAA has shrunken down to something truly minuscule! A group that has no current value at all. :shh:

But then, that's what Jack is all about. Pretending to have value when, . . . oh wait . . . there's nothing really there - except some "loyal" members who post some clever topics now and then.

JA deserves no credit for putting up a web screen where (better?) pilots can write a few words (called a post). Trivial really!

Providing a sheet of paper to a writer has never been seen (in all of history) as a significant act. JA likes to suck glory from others, pure and simple.

Very good observations Wingspan!!!

I think this particular observation goes to the heart of the matter. As far as I know, there is only one real person who's been banned from the US Hawks, and that's Tad (I've also banned a whole bunch of spammers which I believe were all automated). Tad wasn't banned to suppress his ideas, and people are more than welcome to post links to his web site (http://kitestrings.org) and quote him here as well. That's just the opposite of what Jack has done by threatening to ban anyone who mentions "Bob or Scott" and by automatically changing any links posted to the US Hawks. In that sense, Jack has created an "iron curtain" where people in his "community" can't even know about any alternatives that Jack doesn't want them to know.

Jack's "iron curtain" has certainly hurt the growth of the US Hawks for many years, and Jack must have been hoping that we'd just disappear and no one would know what he'd done. But the US Hawks will be 6 years old this summer, and more and more people are learning about us. They're also slowly recognizing that they get a very restricted view of the hang gliding world ... when seen through Jack's filter.

Thanks Doug. I am hopeful that our new Region 3 Director - Ken Andrews - might step up to the plate and do this. Please feel free to advise him on your thoughts!!

It turns out that all of the claims by the Torrey concessionaire have failed in the courts and the San Diego Police Department is no longer arresting me when I go to Torrey Pines. No charges were ever filed from the previous arrests, and the concessionaire doesn't even dare to call the police any more. I can go there whenever I like.

Now USHPA should recognize that as a sign that the claims used to expel me were baseless and they should restore my membership and my ability to fly. The fact that they are not doing so is a black eye on them ... and it gets bigger with each passing month.

All of my insurance policies are difficult to understand when I read them.
Many times I think I'm covered in some instance when later I find that some innocent looking, vague and purposeful obfuscation has left me hanging in the breeze.

The trouble with civilized society is that one can not kill the people that desperately need it.

When I read through the RRG requirements it leaves me with this understanding.
If USHPA decided not to include me in their membership and bared me from insurance coverage under the RRG USHPA would also fail to meet RRG requirements to be/remain owners of the insurance.

So now if someone would be kind enough to point ignorant little me to the follow up clause somewhere that says, in effect, --The requirements set forth are subject to the discretion of the owners --- I will then understand how USHPA could ban me from being covered with insurance yet still be owners.

That is the greatest "Billism" I've ever set eyes on!!!

I was already in bed ... about to doze off when I read that line via my cell phone. I think the neighbors could here me laughing.

Forget Trump ... Bill Cummings for President!!!
