The very cable-stayed triangle control frame in hang glider of battened flexible wing with pilot hung from keel was already known in hang gliding and powered aircraft by the time this book was written. The powered aircraft that would move the pilot up and relegated the triangle control frame to be undercarriage landing and takeoff gear only would become one of the most ubiquitous frame parts in aviation.
