This forum has been open to you since we started. I even created a special forum known as the "Free Speech Zone" as well as your own "Mo Hawks" club forum for you to post what you like. If I just wanted to suppress your thoughts, I could have disabled your account any time in the last year.

So can you please explain how your pictures fit better into a topic about being jailed for taking pictures at Torrey Pines than they would in either the Free Speech Zone or your own club's forum?

Ok, I can start a thread elsewhere to point out the inconsistencies of your logic and thought processes.
Your firmly worded and highly uninformed footnote was the reason this was brought up here and I'm only trying to get you to awaken to the overall big picture that you consistently ignore for whatever reasons.
You haven't taken much time to do the google search so I'll assume you didn't.

Great. Please feel free to put a short note here in this topic with the name and link to the new topic so people interested in that branch of the discussion can follow it.

Warren, I am fully behind free speech, but let's just keep it organized so people can find what they're looking for. If you have a favorite topic (who doesn't?) that you'd like people to be able to see whenever you post, please put it in your signature line. That's a way to get a "plug" in for your topic of choice (or favorite web sites) even when you're discussing the actual topic of a thread. In that sense, your signature line can be your own personal billboard!!

If the restraining order was issued so both parties shake hands then I would be all for it so we could have sportsmanship and move on and close this case. The sports of paragliding and hang gliding need a competitive rivalry under sportsman like conditions so we can concentrate on safety and engineering issues.

This isn't about sports.

Rick is right here. I would be happy to shake hands and move on. But moving on has to include a mechanism to keep this from happening again. That's why I've been an advocate of an oversight organization since my first published words on Torrey Pines back in 2007. This isn't about sports or sportsmanship. It's about greed and bullying and intimidation. These are as old as mankind, and our best defense against them has been the simple "jury of our peers". We established a justice system ... for justice.

Most HG/PG clubs are run by an elected Board of Directors. Such a Board isn't quite a "jury of peers", but it's close enough in most cases that we find clubs like Crestline and Sylmar and Funston running reasonably well with regard to discipline (although there are exceptions). We're nowhere near that at Torrey Pines and that's the root of the problem. Until we can establish some form of fair oversight at that Park, the conce$$ionaire will continue to do what's in the interest of his bank account. That would be fine if Torrey Pines were his personal property, but it's not. It's a San Diego City Park and it belongs to the people. It needs to be overseen so that the people's interests are not trampled.
