We have developed new kind of ultralight flying game that we think you subscribers will find interesting.

SkyRider @ http://www.mindray.se/skyrider/

Description:
SkyRider, is a flight simulator for a new kind of flying, where you rely on your own power to pedal yourself in to the sky. Not only do you need to master your skybike, you must also manage your body to last a whole race.

Do you have what it takes to become the new legend of the island.

Flynn, Sue and Ala will help you become everything you can be.
Flynn, sells all the parts you need to make your skybike the best.
Sue, runs the local bar, and sells all the nourishments you need during your racing.
Ala, will help you get into shape.

Game features:
• Mac / PC Web versions available.
• Upgrade your skybike.
• Train your self so you can pedal faster and longer then ever before.
• RACE, race other computer Skyriders.
• TIME, race against the clock.
• Endurance, manage to clear a course with the minimum amount of energy.
• Acrobatic, do the stunts others just dream of.
• The computer AI's fly with the exact same rules as you, if they can do it then you can. They will try to avoid you if they can, but with so close racing accidents will happen. They also have skills, so they will improve as you do.

MORE TO COME!

I've relocated this SkyRider game topic from the New Users Forum because it deserves more attention than it would get there.

I checked out the web site, and from what I can tell, it looks like they're building a game based on a human powered glider of some sort. We know that's a tall order in real life, but in a computer game, you can restack the deck so that you can fly under your own pedal power without being an Olympic athlete.

That seems like a neat idea to me, so I've taken the liberty of replicating some of their screen shots below. Please visit their web site (listed above) for more information, and please post here if anyone has any more information or reviews to contribute. Thanks!

Installed the new Flashplaya on my Apple product, tried to play trial version, got nothing but a flash of the game once every second. Could see enough of the graphic to hit exit and confirm. Am I missing something?

Re: SkyRider game

1. In Moon Dome City, the effort become more realistic.
2. I wonder if the program will allow smart gliding disciplines to occur during muscular rests.
3. Sport HPA continues to be a realm of investment; this program probably will bolster the sport HPA movement.
4. I wonder if the designers have negotiated with Bryan Allen to use his name and likeness.
5. I wonder if the designers might consider having choices of pilot-hold positions other than the primary-glider classical position. Perhaps pedaling from prone while hung from keel per Airbike might be a graphic option also.
6. And the programmer might negotiate will Dr. Bill Brooks for his posture and rig and image/likeness to give variety of posture and task. Billy Brooks, Bill Brooks, Booster harness, pedal-powered hang glider, historical involvement with Pilcher project, Bognor Birdman contest (Bill Brooks Pedal Assisted Hang Glider 51.0m 11.900 sec). And Bill also piloted full-on HPA. Video attached.
7. Maybe the program could weave in Airbike of http://www.airbikeuk.co.uk/images/smart-front_01.jpg Image

I'm sorry I missed your post.

I haven't played the game, but I'll send your comments on to the email address listed. You might contact them as well.

You might also try it again, since it sounds like they're still developing it. Maybe they've fixed your problem.
