James Means
aka, John Meade
------------------------- part of his fame: The Aeronautical Annual 1895 and two following editions for 1896 and 1897.
But there is more; and all are invited to make this thread robust about James Means.
His life has a large radiance regarding hang gliding. May his story be retold herein as his nomination is mulled.

This clip shown in this post dates in the mid part of his active aeronautical life; he still is influencing hang gliding today.
Hang glider Mike Markowski saw fit to republish the classic Annual trilogy.
The clip herein mentions "supplement" to the Annual of 1895; I do not recall seeing the supplement yet. Anyone?
He might have some copies yet.
