17th FAI World Hang Gliding Championship 2009 - part 1

A pilot claimed a wrong year for invention of hang gliding.
I posted in the video remarks:
"Hang gliding was "invented" WAY BEFORE 1960 ! Try centuries earlier! The cable-stayed triangle control frame on a high aspect ratio sport hang glider was operating at a hang gliding sporting event in 1909."
The GH-KdR error lives on ... and on.

It looks like a launch site where a ramp would not be necessary. Maybe it's to get above lingering snow on the ground in the early summer.

I love the smooth lift and the beauty below. Looks like he could stay up as long as he wanted to and then fly out over the middle of the valley to get out of the lift and come down. :thumbup: :clap:
