Just recently a friend Bob Langer mentioned that he had a copy of the video and sent it to me so I have posted it here for our Hang Gliding buddies to see. If anyone objects to my use of this video, please let me know and I will remove it from Youtube.

I love these pictures of the older gliders, and the filming and the old school narration of them. Here is a video of my friend Jeff Campbell (one of the original Telluride Airforce founders in 1972) in the outback of New Zealand in 1978, The hang gliding part of the story starts at 46:50, but the whole video is truly great.
Gliding and turning on skis and then into the air just seemed so natural for winter time fun, thanks Jeff for all that you did for the sport.

Thank you John for all that you do for the sport, plus inspire people to make themselves the best pilots they can possibly be, and make the best music videos bar none.
Growing up as a long board surfer, when we drove up there was no question as to who we were or what we were about to do. Same here as you watch Hang Gliders drive up you know exactly who they are.
A bit off topic, but oh well. But "nowadaze" when you see someone pull a bag out of a trunk or a back pack and then sometimes hear this very noisy chain saw engine start up, you're not quite sure, and say, "what is this and who the hell are you"?
We're finding out, sadly every day, exactly who some of them are and what they are doing.
