Cool Drinks for Hot Hang Gliding

Ginger Citrus Cool Drink

Usually is made in 64oz(2qts) quantities (but can be made individually).
Approximately 1 ½ inches of Ginger ½ to ¾ inches round
Four to Five Oranges
One Lemon
Eight teaspoons of Honey

Cut the Ginger into 8 pieces approximately 1/2 to 3/4 inches round by 3/16th in. thick (cross grain).
Boil the Ginger in 2 cups water for ten minutes,
Add 8 teaspoons of Honey, and then let cool for ten minutes.
Meanwhile juice the Oranges and Lemon.
Throw everything (including the ginger pieces) in the blender until pulverized (3 or 4 minutes).
Poor everything in a 64oz(2qt) Pitcher and then fill to the brim with water and stir.
Refrigerate until cold.
Drink plain or add the high octane of your choice after flying.
