This is such a fun fly in and great way to wrap up a season in beautiful conditions before winter.

The last few years I've had a work event that clashes. It is 2 weeks later this year......

Yes Nate! Our niceness is only second place to our humbleness. :srofl:

Come even earlier, on October 9th (Friday) if you want - I'll be there about 8:00 am in the Cox Field landing zone. For directions, here's how to get there:

Come into Alamogordo and get onto Hwy 54/70. (Whether you come from the south via El Paso, the east via Artesia, the north or the west, you'll wind up on Hwy 54/70, which is called "White Sands Blvd." as you cruise through the town.) Come to Fairgrounds Drive, which is right by the White Sands Mall and has a stoplight on it; turn east towards the mountains on Fairgrounds. Follow it past the next stoplight (Florida Avenue) and the baseball fields and the Bark Park. At the yellow metal gate, turn into the LZ, and go to the shade structure at the northwest corner. See you there and then!

Hi, everyone! We had such a fine fly-in over Memorial Day weekend this year, 2016 - let's do it again! The RGSA will be hosting its annual Columbus Day Gathering in Alamogordo, New Mexico October 7, 8, 9 and 10. Come on out and fly with us! No entry fees, a welcoming town, all the facilities a pilot could need, a barbecue and beautiful autumn skies - hey, can you ask for anything more? Two good sites with plenty of desert thermals, and then the tall, cool pines of Cloudcroft just minutes away. Experience needed: P2 or H2 with mountain experience. For any information, send me an email or give me a call. Hope to see you all soon!
