August 11th, 2019 at Torrey ...

Typical stuff ... dogs and kids running around on the supposed "airfield".

They even put a 4 year old child in a paragliding harness attached to a paraglider ... with no helmet of course:

Everyone is taking pictures of everything:

It appears Gabe Jebb lies to the 4 year old boy's father telling him that I am a child molester and/or pedophile taking pictures of his son.

The boy's father begins threatening me as a gang forms at the scene:

I remain seated as the mob tries to intimidate me:

I maintain my composure and don't take the bait.

They claim to have called the police, and I wait for a while. Robin Marien starts his truck and says: "Get down on your knees and suck the tail pipe. Do everybody a favor."

I wait a while longer but eventually leave saying "You've got my number. Call me when they come. I'll be right over."

Robin Marien replies "Oh yea, we'll do that Bob".

I never got a call.

Here's part of the video from yesterday. The full video is half an hour. It's mostly like the beginning of this video with me panning the scene of paragliders, dogs, and pedestrians. The unescorted 4 year old wanders around through the park as shown in the third frame above. Things escalate when I film the unhelmeted child being seated into a paragliding harness right in front of me. The harness is attached to a partially balled up paraglider. Gabe Jebb should know this is a safety problem, but he does nothing other than incite the confrontation.

Even in calms, a popping bubble of young thermal may occur surprisingly and inflate and drag a paraglider canopy laterally and vertically and whip its payload in various ways, helmet or not. The risk for the non-pilot four-year old is something the parent may not have weighed.
=====================================

:?: :?: [ ] Are dogs to be unleashed there?

:?: :?: [ ] The one man declared that all the people told him that someone who was not a pervert was a pervert. Slander? He broadcasted the false statement toward the non-pilot area.

:?: :?: [ ] Should the whistle blowing by the four-year old be reserved to warn of an impending landing?
Could such abuse of the whistle cause other disruptions among pilots?

This California law seems to fit the bill very well -

If a person or persons, whether or not acting under color of law, interferes by threat, intimidation, or coercion, or attempts to interfere by threat, intimidation, or coercion, with the exercise or enjoyment by any individual or individuals of rights secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or of the rights secured by the Constitution or laws of this state, the Attorney General, or any district attorney or city attorney may bring a civil action for injunctive and other appropriate equitable relief in the name of the people of the State of California, in order to protect the peaceable exercise or enjoyment of the right or rights secured. An action brought by the Attorney General, any district attorney, or any city attorney may also seek a civil penalty of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). If this civil penalty is requested, it shall be assessed individually against each person who is determined to have violated this section and the penalty shall be awarded to each individual whose rights under this section are determined to have been violated.

From https://www.shouselaw.com/personal-injury/defamation.html:

Quote:
To prove defamation in California, you must establish four elements:

  1. That someone made a false statement of purported “fact” about you:
  2. That the statement was made (“published”) to a third party;
  3. That the person who made the statement did so negligently,recklessly or intentionally; and,
  4. That as a result of the statement, your reputation was damaged.

All 4 elements are absolutely present:

  1. Statements were false
  2. Statements were made to a third party
  3. Statements were made negligently, recklessly or intentionally;
  4. My reputation was damaged as a result of the statements.

Incitement to imminent lawless action.

Well, nothing happens if nobody does anything - in the legal sense.

Hey Joe - and others,

The CA law I quoted a few posts back includes a part "e" that I didn't include above. Here it is -

California Law wrote:
(e) If a court issues a temporary restraining order or a preliminary or permanent injunction in an action brought pursuant to subdivision (a) or (b), ordering a defendant to refrain from conduct or activities, the order issued shall include the following statement: VIOLATION OF THIS ORDER IS A CRIME PUNISHABLE UNDER SECTION 422.77 OF THE PENAL CODE.

A person who makes a very valid complaint about one or more people threatening them, or attempting to intimidate them or coerce them to do something that violates their civil rights is, I think, very likely to get such a restraining order put in place against the offending parties. If violated, a significant fine or 6 months in jail can be sentenced - or both.
