Torrey Hawks Second Sunday - October 12th, 2014

We had a nice Second Sunday at Torrey today even though the conditions were predicted to be relatively poor.
And once again 100% of the actual hang gliding was performed by members of the Torrey Hawks ... 100%!!

The day was typical in many respects ...

We had the usual weekend paragliding congestion:

We had about half a dozen Torrey Hawks members show up for hang waiting, food, and discussions ...

We even had a young paragliding couple demonstrate the superiority of hang gliders over paragliders:

But the best part (for me) was making the only hang gliding flight of the day...

First, I had to borrow a radio:

I'd like to say it was "nice" of the concession to lend us one ... but I can't because they're the ones requiring us to have radios in the first place!! And how long do you think the "free loaner" program will last? :roll:
