In looking back on HGing during 2015, among a group of very worthy individuals in the Hawks membership one person stands out to me as the 'Person of the Year'. This someone was willing to forfeit his freedom to fight for a worthy cause. Someone who has spent countless hours and much money trying to make this sport better for all while enduring the criticism and bias of a very vocal minority. Someone willing to give back to the sport without the expectation of reward or distinction. This is a person who I believe puts integrity first and ego last!!

That person is, BK!!

I second that sentiment (and perhaps nomination?)!

It truly amazes me how many people (many of whom run, or like to kiss up to, the USHPA) project the polar opposite view of Bob.

The powers that be often attack and/or belittle the individuals that point fingers and say "This is wrong! This could be better!". Persons in charge sometimes/often benefit from maintaining the status quo. They see people looking to change and improve things as a threat to the group and, more importantly, they're position within it.

It's time for some people (in the USHPA) to wake up and smell the coffee!
