Councilmembers, per instructions on the City website, I have submitted a document titled "Member_Term_Ltr_BobKuczewski.pdf" to the City Clerk via email. I would like that document to be included as part of the record of today's meeting. I have also provided links to an 8 minute, 18 second YouTube video taken at the Torrey Pines Gliderport on November 9th, 2014. Here are two links to that video:

       https://youtube.com/watch?v=oLmAzoHE5oM
       https://youtu.be/oLmAzoHE5oM

I would also like that video to be included in the record of today's meeting.

The letter and the video show the retaliation which has prevented me from hang gliding at the Torrey Pines Gliderport for over 5 years. I was silently documenting a safety violation when I was assaulted and battered by your Torrey Pines concessionaire after my September 2014 expert witness testimony in the Shannon Hamby law suit. I was subsequently expelled from USHPA for my testimony, for filming this violation, for starting a competing club, and for speaking to this Council.

I request that each Councilmember and the City Attorney review these two items for future reference and immediately issue a permit for me to fly at Torrey Pines Gliderport.

I also sent the following email message to the City Clerk and others. The message was somewhat repetitive, but I wanted to be sure that everything was well cross-referenced. Many of you were included in a blind copy of the original email message:

San Diego City Clerk,

The San Diego City web site (copied below) states that written materials for submission into the record are to be emailed to this address. I have two items that I would like submitted into the record in connection with my non-agenda comment at the upcoming May 19th, 2020 San Diego City Council meeting. The items are:

    1. Attached PDF document titled:
         Member_Term_Ltr_BobKuczewski.pdf
    2. The video footage here (same video, 2 different addresses):
         https://youtube.com/watch?v=oLmAzoHE5oM

I will also be submitting the following comments into the record at your web site.

Sincerely,
Bob Kuczewski

Hello, my name is Ernie Casco. I'm a La Jolla resident.

I've been flying hang gliders and paragliders at Torrey Pines for decades.

The Gliderport is selling me insurance not required by law.

They have changed club fees to a mandatory pass - stealing our recreational freedom.

This is public extortion by City Council "snack shop" contract.

Your leaseholder has me under threat of violence and personal loss. This meeting is under threat.

Your leaseholder is trying to figure out who's speaking and sending emails ... threatening everyone.

Barbara Bry, you lied at your own Zoom meeting pretending not to know anything about it. Then you cut me off on my comments.

You're fully aware of this. You've allowed the tourist industry to steal America's freedom. Now you want to be Mayor?

Barbara Bry, you have the power to fix this. As La Jolla district representative, it's your responsibility.

Nice job Ernie!!!

The reason the City doesn’t swear you in before your public comment
is because it is impossible to tell the whole truth about City corruption
in a one minute time frame.

I agree Bill and Sam!! That's what has taken 13 years ... minute by minute.    :srofl:

By the way, here's the video that I included in my communications to the Council

I've also attached my USHPA member termination letter from 2015 below. I had attached it to my email to all of the Council members (above). USHPA sent that to every member of USHPA. It appears overwhelming on its face, but when you dig into it, it's all just the same 4 items that I presented to the City Council. It was retaliation for:

1. My expert testimony in the Hamby case
2. My filming of Gabe Jebb's helmet violation
3. Starting a club that might compete with USHPA
4. Speaking to the San Diego City Council.

Here's the full letter:

Post subject:  Re: Comment to the San Diego City Council

The Council meeting started at 11am and finished shortly after 10pm.

Ernie and I each spoke for 1 minute after waiting nearly 11 hours.

Georgette Gomez violated the City Council's own rules to allow hours and hours of repeated testimony during Non-Agenda Comment. In the past, there has always been a standard limit on the number of speakers on a single topic. But Georgette didn't lift a finger to enforce it. So there were literally hundreds (maybe even thousands?) of phone-in speakers throughout the day speaking on some aspect of police murdering black people. Most of them repeated the same exact sentences over and over like they were all reading from the same exact script. They all wanted to "defund" the police, and a large number (maybe half) ended their speeches with "Black lives matter".

So that got me thinking about how so many people could be reading the same lines. Obviously they were highly organized and coordinated. The vast majority seemed relatively young, but it's hard to tell by voice alone. Then I made a revealing observation.

For most calls, the City Clerk was able to announce the caller's name, but the dial-up protocol didn't provide a way to give your name. So I can only assume that those names were coming from caller-ID. But here's the interesting part. It seemed very common for the City Clerk to announce a first and last name, and then the speaker would correct the first name because it was wrong, but the last name was correct. In fact, that seemed to be the most common case. What would cause that phenomenon?

My best guess is that the caller ID feature was reporting the person who pays the bills for the phone. So all of those incorrect first names were other people in the household using the phone. Of course, they could be husband and wife pairs, but that would only generate 50% mistakes (on average). It seemed way more frequent than that. That's when it dawned on me that maybe the majority of the people calling were teenagers. That explained how they had so much time to kill and how they were so uniform in their views. It appears to have been an army of impressionable young people getting their scripts via some social media web site.

I sure would like to know who was orchestrating that army of speakers.
