Joe Faust of Los Angeles, CA, from a high-jumping-affected psyche, spirits tethered wings, gets high over triangle control frames, and teases joy in the same by founding hang glider and other kite-system associations. He held a work position in Douglas Aircraft Company, then two other distinct positions at McDonnell Douglas. Mathematics was woven into his fabric throughout his life; some middle school and college teaching of mathematics spiced the way. Three children with Joanne grace his life  ; Joanne, track runner and hang glider, helped the roots of hang gliding associations in the US. He spawned hang gliding's international Self-Soar Association and its Low & Slow magazine (by agreement taking over Low & Slow and Out of Control) teasing HG club formations around Earth. He morphed the magazine into Hang Glider Weekly and Hang Glider Magazine with echo still standing on the Internet. He joined with Bob Luthhardt to format the first United States Hang Glider Association which Joe suppressed following its teasing into being co-founded Soaring-Society of America's-influenced United States Hang Gliding Association. Fatal flaws grew in the second USHGA as it morphed to USHPA and lost focus on recreational hang gliding. He offered that Bob Kuczewski look at HG activity niche file; Bob chose a niche HG activity above is already flowing hang gliding: the rest is history herein: a return to a keen focus on recreational hang gliding, worthy of renewed investment and furthering by many.
