While the movie is a present key classic work about the contemporary renaissance in hang gliding, the movie unfortunately does not include the Jim Hobson facts or John Worth notes.

It also doesn't include the first aircraft instrument manufactured exclusively for hang gliders. :? Although they can be seen on control bars through out the movie.

Miller and Hobson were remembered by attendees! Display. Bubbles. At the side early: RC by Frank C. Power kite by JoeF. Bubbles by JoeF. 150 ft recording tape wafting experiment to show wind turbulence and direction. :) :)

Mike Meier came with demo Alpha 210. It was flown by Mike (one flight), Ian (altitude gain in minimum conditions; about eight flights), JoeF (four quick flights; fourth: fast-twitch hamstring pull moderate: grounded for day), BobK (about 10 flights). Wind: non-soaring, perhaps 8 mph.

Mike delivered Frank Colver's new Blue Sky harness. Very nice.

Many then went to Sylmar: great talk by Mike Meier.

[ ] The metal plaque of the site respects 1966, but does not respect James Hobson's significant operations at Dockweiler in 1962. How might the City change the "6" to a "2" and get in file the Hobson matters?

Joe had several flights before I arrived, so I don't have any pictures. But I had a number of fun flights with the Alpha and my Falcon:

We finished off the day with an event sponsored by the Sylmar HGA featuring Mike's talk "How safe is my glider".
