Hello Howie,

I've opened a topic for the Board to discuss your H3 rating here:

     http://ushawks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2405

I've also forwarded the documents that you've emailed me to the other Board members for their review (I didn't want to post them to the forum without your permission).

Please feel free to join the discussion in that topic.

Thanks.

You can self declare for an HGP (Hang Glider Pilot) rating and it will be granted. But the numbered ratings (1-5) require proof of an existing rating.

If cases of beer are used to buy a USHPA H5 rating, then that's already lower than we want to go. We honor USHPA ratings because they are the de-facto standard in the United States at this time. But those ratings are considered the "floor", and we hope to have higher standards in the future.

Hello

I would like to apply for a H-4. I don't know if you want skills or not so I will hold off on that.

Welcome aboard Mark!!

I've posted your Hawk 4 rating as issued by Bill Cummings and I've posted an "HGP" rating as well. The HGP is a self-declared Hang Glider Pilot rating, and it reflects a pilot's ability to assess their own skills. You can read up on our ratings topics if you have any questions.

Thanks for joining us, and Welcome to the US Hawks!!!
