Tagues Butte named after Ranger Jim Tague is a launch that is on the famous Abert Rim and can provide great flights. The retrieve drive to the main LZ at Simms ranch from launch is approx 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hours and can leave drivers ragged. There are a couple of hostile landowners in the valley making it a good plan to land in the designated LZ or go XC
Evening glass offs here are amazing and allow flights for miles along the Abert Rim.

Directions: From Lakeview Go 2½ miles north on Highway 395, and turn right on Highway 140. Take Highway 140 east for 8 miles, then turn left on Forest Road 3615. Go on Forest Road 3615 for 18½ miles and then turn left onto Forest Road 032. Follow Forest Road 032 for 2 miles and you should see the launch site sign.
Two launches one more SW facing and one more NW facing. Moderately steep launches. Launches are some 550' below the top of Abert Rim.
