Free and Bob,
Although my mother suffered for six months before passing from this vale of tears and now my mother-in-law has lost use completely of her left side my father went quickly in three days.

I hope I can see the end coming and not enrich some health provider but instead check off the last thing on my bucket list which is to park near the Gila National Forest Area and go feed the bears.

I was in a caravan of cars all with hang gliders on their tops and stopped at a railroad track crossing at Lake City, Minnesota. We had just passed the, “Danger, ice conditions change rapidly,” sign on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River a half hour earlier After zigzagging around open holes and big long cracks in the river ice we got a run at the boat ramp since there was a gap of open water to jump to the Minnesota side. Larry Smith, Gregg Ballentine, (sp), Paul Lundguist, others that I can’t recall, made this same crossing.
The train blocked our way because it ran over a pickup truck and killed a guy. Next we would be towing up hang gliders further down river on the ice with cars and living through all that risky goings on.

As we waited for the train to move I couldn’t help but dwell on the irony of this situation.

The guy simply crossing a railroad track and not any of us stupid hang glider pilots crossing the ice in cars and trucks was the one that died.

Paul and I lost our nerve and after we were done flying drove the long way up to Red Wing Minnesota in the dark to cross on the bridge back to Wisconsin. We met the rest of the pilots that took the short cut over the ice back to the Maiden Rock Bar in Wisconsin . The rest of the pilots were half in the bag not waiting for Paul and I to show up a hour later for the “safety meeting.”

If you were towing hang gliders with vehicles on a frozen Mississippi River, you are already alive past expectations.
Gee, don't want to sound like a Safety Nazi, but that doesn't sound right to me.
Lakes, ok maybe. Rivers, I don't think so.

What do you know about Trusts or Foundations?
I might consider that, knowing more, rather than leave it to State Probate.
I don't want to be poked with poisons and bled to death by expensive pharmaceutical witchcraft, anyway.
Set me out in the snow like an old toothless Indian. A bear will come along eventually.

Google bots picked up 'old Indian' in this previous post and in the middle of 15 snow train choices,
youtube recommends this for me:

Thanks Bill. I'd never seen it before and I was wondering what it was.

Now the question is ... what's the point of the post?

Who is Bill? The one getting thanked? Bill C. or someone else.
PS It looks like my ISP has removed the block that prevented me hooking up to the Hawks (only).
Last night I was ready to pound this laptop through the patio slab with my sludge hammer.
I'm still debating with myself whether I open the new laptop or return it for cash and put that on the mortgage principal.
I'm thinking I downloaded a virus along with updates yesterday. I am sooooo damn close to leaving the internet and take up something else.

My wife bought our first computer an imac maybe in 1998 or ‘9.
Nothing but trouble and two replacements under the warrantee.
After the third one went Democrat (Grandfather’s saying) I wrote to Apple and demanded the used imac off of the CEO’s desk or they will loose me forever. (I’m still gone in 2015)
Such was my disdain I even stopped eating apples (fruit).

For years I stored that piece of imac in the garage with every intention to hook it to a release attached to my hang strap, take it for a tandem flight on a Sunday afternoon over the Alamogordo, NM (USA) land fill.
Then with at least five thousand feet AGL I would trip the release on that piece of imac and video it all the way down to the dust ring it made. (like the coyote on the Roadrunner Show.)

14 years later I had finally cooled off enough to send it to the land fill by setting it at the curb.

My mistake. I should have written "Scott". I've been under a lot of stress with this trial, and I'm sorry I used the wrong name.

Thanks for documenting it. There are several forces out there that would like to silence us on this forum, so we have to stay vigilant for these kinds of attacks.
