There were photos of it available in the 70's so it is possible someone reverse engineered it. It's a relatively simple design with just a keel, wing spar, A frame , king post and a fair few cables. The jib & mainsail could have been made on a home sewing machine.

Yes, I saw it fly on the south side of the POM. It was able to park in what I considered fairly light lift for standard Rogallos. I did just what Frank said he wouldn't do with the Port-a-Wing. I walked up the hill to get a closer look - just below and off to the side. I'd never seen anything like it before. I think it was '75. I didn't recognize the pilot and unfortunately had to leave before meeting him. I moved away from the area soon after and don't know if the pilot was just visiting or became a regular.
