I am a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Learned to hang glide at Escape Country, and Little Black in San Diego. Worked at Torrey with Flight Realities. Name's barb.

Personally, I think the "dago" part is simply misspelled. It should be Dayglow! Meaning, very bright and easily noticeable.

Now I think "barbz" is indicative of this person's occupation as a (fairly hip) barber. "Yo, Barbz! How you doin'."

Hence we arrive at - A bright, easily noticed yet also cool barber.

Then again, . . . :? . . . there's a chance this member is actually an Italian porcupine!

LOL ya weirdo!

I'll be driving up from San Diego, and you're welcome to ride with me. There may be others going up as well, so keep an eye on this topic as the time gets closer. It would be great to have you there ... and any gliders you can bring are a bonus!

I can ride my bike up if you're full up. But my kite will need a ride!

It would be an honor to take your kite, so consider it a deal.    I'll keep a seat empty for you as well.    :)

I just got a great call from Neil, and he's planning to come out from Florida for this!!

This is shaping up to be the biggest reunion yet.    :)

Also, with people coming from such a far distance, there may be an interest in finding economical lodging. If anyone has any creative ideas, please post them.

That's probably because I joined the Army and took my Chandelle back east to practice on the horribly overgrown slopes of rural Maryland and environs.
I came back to San Diego with a Cirrus III.

I know what you mean there!! Of course, California has been getting horribly overgrown ... with development.

I think you'll have a good time at Dockweiler. Joe Faust and I flew there just yesterday and we had a blast. We go there on the 3rd Sunday of every month for Frank Colver's "Sunday Funday" events. Let me know if you'd like to join us some time.

I seldom had a camera on hand, but here's a nice shot of the cliff:
Note the lack of fan palms, grass on the LZ, and all the development there now! It was just the cliff and the pilot's shack, with a pay phone.
