Sorry, No pictures of that Skyline flight but I remember it was off a Dodge Charger with the big sloping flat rear window. We layed a piece of carpet or something over the glass. Cloudy day...poor depth perception on landing...fly it right into the ground!! No flair!! Beeked it!!

Joe,
I'm in the process of contacting my old club to get pictures. First call no luck but I received more leads to find pictures.
Although I didn't witness this, club member Dan O'Hara told me of this years ago.
Buck McMinn, now of Chelan Washington, once owned a maroon Pacer vehicle that had a fast back. They would use plywood to save the rear window and back up to the stone two and a half foot high wall at a viewpoint pull over on Sky Line Drive above the old cement plant at Gary New Duluth, Minnesota.
They would stand on the roof of the car and run down the plywood covered fast back. The last step of the launch would be on the top of the two foot thick stone wall.
It was a three or four step launch.
I'll see if Doug Johnson has photos that he can scan and post.

Joe-- I just got off the phone with Buck McMinn of Chelan Washington (state)
He says the car was silver and they ran right off the bare rear window glass.
He says He will look through his old pictures but that they are probably, "In some box in the garage covered in rat s***."
