And ARP's mention of double "S" basebar in TCF.

NIce set up for Supine....Talked with Steve of Avian about this. Bear in mind that curvy basetube is attached to a glider specifically rigged for supine. Shorter downtubes/less forward rake......Speed range is adequate although limited compared to prone but its a great set up.... lots of roll authority...but the handles are kinda "blocking" where a pilot needs to pull in to a corner when one wing gets "popped up" on launch....that is the only fault I see with this system...that and it is difficult to do a "hang check" in the supine configuration (I love my hang checks).
What I really like about this supine system is your hands are on the same controls at all times and that is the only thing that is lacking in my system, the brief transition between flying from the rear handles to reach forward to grab the front of the Flybar....takes just a half second but it is a transition and I have NOT flown my set up in Big Air as of yet....
The idea behind my "improvement" ( flybar) was to create a way to fly feet forward on a glider rigged for Prone flight without altering the rigging or buying a new wing rigged specifically for supine....making feet forward flight more easily accessible
I am completing the third prototype of my set up (no photos yet) that will increase both roll authority and, if my brain is thinking clearly, bring back the full range of pitch authority we enjoy in the prone position flying in the suprone position.
Pretty sure I have it worked out.....I wont truly know for sure until I have a chance to fly some rock and roll Chelan Thermals this summer....Flying the Big air is either going to humble me greatly (would do me good) or make me feel like the king of the suprone world, probably the former, but time will tell

Luftfahrtgeschichte

It would be neat to get a translation of the inked paragraph on the drawing.

In Varney's book published in 1897, page 29,
there is a triangle control frame contolling the somewhat the mass of a camera. The TCF on its way to the framed flexible wing?

#729 Dyakov monoplane (Russia [Georgia], 1912)
"Young military officer Georgiy Antonovich Dyakov, from Kutaisi (Georgia) built this aircraft of his own design in 1912. It had strong and extremely simple construction. The pilot was seated on on the bicycle seat. He used a motorcycle engine of 7.5 HP. Tests showed that aircraft was unable to take off."
