The apology is to everyone, because an error was made; The statement was incorrect, it has now been deleted and in a process that may take some time, it will be removed overtime as the updates go through Smashwords.
The ebook is Terry's work, he used a lot of my material and so he erroneously included my name in the copyright of the book, this is being corrected as I write, but the cover will take more time to correct. Thank you for bringing the error to our attention ARP, what would we do without you. This all happened in the middle of 2014 as I was doing a close fly-past of the planet Death, running on Endone and antibiotics. I sincerely apologise for not having spotted this mistake, indeed for having completely let the book's existence slip my mind. No one, at the time expected me to survive, so I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be here today to apologise to one and all for this mistake.
Terry apologise for the error as well.

Cheers,
Graeme

Wow, now finish him off, Tony. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Sam,

A few more volleys have gone in but where there's no sense, there's no feeling.

Sam,

Interestingly Terry is a Brit and set up the British Hang Gliding History site. I have contributed to the site with what information I have. However he limited the time span to that of the "modern" hang glider and it seems to run from the early 70's which means stuff I did in the 60's and that of the original hang gliding pioneers, has been side lined. The opening address written by Terry was amended, without any notification made on the site, to Graeme's suggested text which was all about Dickenson. The email with these "suggested " changes, inadvertently, found their way to my pc so I know this to be a fact. Terry printed the revised opening address with the "suggested" change verbatim but still has his signature on it. Likewise Graeme trying to distance himself from the ebook text, for which the apology was made, by saying Terry wrote it, is just as ridiculous as Graeme has said the same thing on a number of occasions. If Terry has repeated it, then it is still Graeme's vitriolic text.

I have tremendous respect for the work Terry has done on British Hang Gliding History.
I think any personality issue with GH is very small potatoes compared to that.
As hang glider pilots, we can hardly be excited when encountering aggressive or flamboyant individuals.
It's natural gamesmanship for one group to try to upstage the other.
Over time, the Dickenson argument will sink or swim by its own merit.
We need to be compassionate toward the Brits.
It must be very frustrating for them to have given away their Empire and now find themselves giving their very country and culture away.
They are generous to a fault. Maybe the claim that the modern hang glider was developed in their criminal colony will soon be all they have left.
It is a rather esoteric point. Quite interesting. Makes one think and marvel.
Revisions are to be expected and applauded for the extra effort.
I was actually impressed and delighted to see it presented in such detail in the book.

Way before JD
was Rogallo's full hold
over what John Worth
had … with triangle control frame involved.
Many others had the tech before JD even started.

===========================================
Patents in 1963 before JD started
have relevance. Ken tried to put matters "before 1962" which would carve off a great amount of relevant matter by others.

=====================================
Rogallo was given honorary "Dr." status.
=====================================
Ken was off by stating that bi-cylindrical was never used successfully.
Seagull III was used successfully; and it was not the first to use bi-cylindrical format for airfoil.
====================================
Master all of John Worth to get some digs on these matters.
====================================
Master the legally protected foot-launch hang glider of W. Simon of 1908
and have battened flexible wing hang glider using cable-stayed triangle control frame with pilot hung from keel behind the A-frame.

RM:- "I was actually impressed and delighted to see it presented in such detail in the book."

A pity it's not an accurate presentation of the facts.

RM:- "Maybe the claim that the modern hang glider was developed in their criminal colony will soon be all they have left."

And not in an ex colony?

What is a "modern" hang glider anyway?
