I didn't fly yesterday High cross up winds. although it did straighten out,...
I wasn't feeling up to the launch,... or flying the conditions. a little rusty on this glider. leery on launch.
No Paras in the Air, no Local pilots (THAT I TRUST) around at the time.
BY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE,... I dont trust Any of the Gliderport staff
One of the regulars, a friend (wont name) was trying to convince me to launch. he's skilled but always stoned and I HEARD is one of the investors at the Gliderport with VIP status. (CAUTION WILL ROBERTSON)
He wasn't set up to fly... yet telling others to Go. He made a comment saying he thinks my glider has a left turn in it by observation in Ground handling LOL.... He doesn't normally fly a High performance glider in the conditions present. There was Also a crew of 4 visiting pilots that were waiting for who's 1st. I was in the hot seat. I doubt they weren't going if I wasn't... out of all of us only the brave Atos flew .

MY unnamed friend Blew My TRUST years ago, partly my fault for trusting a Questionable Crew... I paid Hard
He was involved as wire crew in my crash (blown Launch 5 years ago) where the wire crew held on to long and cartwheeled me into the ground breaking my pelvis, totaling the Glider. .... see photo pg. 8 of now 75
I would love to see that Crash report (if any & and probably falsified) and hold the Glideport responsible for damages, along with few other issues of being threatened for years...
(the USHPA's insurance is useless for many reasons, & so who is liable for Gliderport Crew negligence if anyone)
>>> NO MORE HANDs ON SIDE WIRES unless wing JUMPS <<<
there mistake of holding too long on almost killed Me ~ as they joked about it later to my face.

Later in the day,... one of the pro's JOHN showed Up which I have tremendous respect for and someone I listen to.
there was also (I Believe) one of his students, they both flew.
*** note, a good point: He made a comment to be concerning putting My Life or trust in the Hands of another on launch.
along with a few comments on base tube Launching as being Safer....
Is Base tube Launching a special rating skill or just pilot preference ?
Anyways something to think about , I Live to fly another day
Comments are always welcome
