That's an amazing image!!!!

I like the way the feet are tucked neatly away. Very clean aerodynamics.

After all I said about people coming up with their own designs for their cards, I'm a little nervous about folks making logos that bear the US Hawks name without some kind of Board approval. I think this one is very good, but what if someone were to come up with a vulture or a turkey bearing the US Hawks logo? I could see it getting a bit messy.

I've been thinking about personalized credit cards. I think people can put all kinds of images on their Visa or Master Card. Does that diminish the Visa or Master Card logo? Does it compromise their ability to protect their trade marks?

Just some things to think about while we enjoy that amazing image.    ;)

From Bob ::

This is true but the ID might end up with a vulture on it too if it's not a standard that the board accepts. Maybe a few options ??
On the other hand there might be some benefit to having a standardized ID that is easily recognized in the fly community. No ?

I like Scott's idea of a card that would reference a url at the US Hawks website.
Bob would it be too hard to have a locked page for each pilot with their ratings and sign offs?
Their card would have the url page address so that going to the page might show even a pilot photo.
The card could have the ratings too but the url page would verify.
I would like my locked page to also include my youtube channel so that others could go check out my
video flying record as well.
by locked page I mean only the webmaster or his designee could update on the page.
A QR might be a good touch also.

Me too.

Not too hard at all. We could probably make it very similar to what some of the other organizations do ... a URL that ends with your member number.

We could probably add a number of features like that. Great ideas!!!!!

We might be able to do all of that. Here's a test. Can anyone read this?

I have a dumb phone so if I saw that (QR code) on a pilots rating card that part wouldn't work for me but if I couldn't use that short cut (QR code) to verify on their US Hawks (locked) members page I could call another US Hawk member and ask them to search with the url page number to verify for me. (the contact could respond with, "The photo description shows that the pilot is a blue, transgender, Martian, with a gold nose ring." I could respond with, "Good enough - that's what I'm looking at.")
