In this rare footage, an Ozone Warbler is shown using a special technique to make a nesting crater.
"We had no idea," says a professor from the university, "that the Ozone Warbler would deliberately bounce off trees like a billiard ball to achieve a nesting spot in a crater. You can imagine our surprise. No other creature exhibits such extreme nesting behavior. Perhaps it evolved as an attempt to throw off predators such as the Great Crunchy Northern Warbler..."
Shortly before the specialized head-mounted camera died, the Ozone Warbler can be seen searching for something in the undergrowth.
"We believe it is looking for its egg," commented the professor.
    Unfortunately, no egg was found.
"The egg was probably carried off by small, wild forest animals who happened to be near the nesting crater," he added.

"We believe the early mamamals may have contributed to the extinction of the dinosoars by devouring their eggs and young," said a professor from the university.

Image
"Is this to be the fate of the Ozone Warbler?" he asked, rhetorically. "It could well explain why so few eggs are ever found."

In this rare footage, an apprentice taxidermist high up in a tree manages to get a noose around an Ozone Warbler before it escapes his grip on its ankle and attempts to flee.
"I don't think it likes me," he complains.
"Good job," shouts the master taxidermist as the angry creature, snapping and squawking, is lowered to the ground. "Now, let's stuff it!"

In this rare photograph, an Ozone Warbler is caught nesting on the surface of a lake.
"This strange nesting behavior is difficult to understand," says a professor from the university. "We do not believe the Ozone Warbler, a non-aquatic species, is deliberately choosing to nest in water. Rather, it probably sees its reflection on the surface of the lake and is attempting to mate."
Recently an entire flock of Ozone Warblers was tricked in this way into nesting on the waters of Lake Pokemango in Nepal.
"This behavior does not contribute to the survival of the species," added the professor, disturbedly.
    Unfortunately, no eggs were found.

An Ozone Warbler prepares to land on a fence.
Chirping and clucking from atop the fence rail, he will hope to attract a mate.
Then, perhaps, an egg will come.

Image
Now the Ozone Warbler leaps from the fence rail to assume the mating position while presenting a colorful display of plumage to attract a female.
Although females could be heard clucking and snorting in the nearby trees and bushes, none approached the male Ozone Warbler on the ground.
"We suspect in this instance," said a professor from the university, "that the nesting crater was not of sufficient depth to attract a female."
Unfortunately, no egg was found.

Despite the stealthy approach of the taxidermists and three cooks from a nearby Korean restaurant, the Ozone Warblers take flight.
One, however, quickly decides to nest.
Unfortunately, no egg was found.

"I don't think people appreciate the effort involved for us to capture these Ozone Warblers and stuff 'em," says a taxidermist conversationally. "It's a lot of work to get 'em outta the trees around here. It's not like other places where dey nest on the ground."

Image
Then some guy comes in the shop when I'm working and asks, 'How much fer dat Ozone Warbler over der?'
"'Twelve hundred bucks,' I tell 'em.
"'Twelve hundred bucks!" he says like I insulted 'em. "Twelve hundred bucks! Dat's highway robbery!"
"Take it or leave it, ya putz," I says. "Go stuff yer own if ya don't like it." And he walks out. Just like dat.
"I tell ya, people got no clue."

An Ozone Warbler claws an apprentice taxidermist as he readies his snare.
"I don't think he likes me," the novice shouts down to the master taxidermist, watching from below.
"Just grab him by the ankle," replies the master. "He'll calm down, then. They like that."

Nine taxidermists, three cooks from a nearby Korean restaurant and an Uber passenger who was dropped off in the wrong place search for the egg reportedly laid by an Ozone Warbler.
"Its got to be here somewhere!" said the Uber passenger on his hands and knees.
Unfortunately, no egg was found.
