Thanks for catching this Tad!!!

I've sent an email message to Red about this. I believe Red is a good guy, but I don't think he knows what Jack has done. That's a problem that we have to face. Jack gets away with this because most people just don't know what he's done.

So thanks again for helping bring these practices to light!!

Aren't you gonna compliment me on the brevity of my post? Just two words - and only half of them four letter.

I didn't want to draw undue attention to the fact that your posts are usually so painfully long.
I guess I'm damned if I do, and damned if I don't.

But yes, those were stellar examples of getting to the point quickly and effectively.

There may be hope for the US Hawks yet!!

Thanks Tad.

 Welcome BillC

US Hawks and this forum needs You. Sure glad to see you here.

BobK is a crusader. His efforts to establish fair representation at Torrey, deserve a medal for bravery, IMO.

Also, Bob stood for ushpa transparency as Reg3 Director.

As a well respected and founding member of Southwest Texas Hang Gliders, Bob recognises "need help" areas that could grow the sport.

Only after his encouragement and help, did I establish SWTHG as a ushpa Chapter, #285. We are also US Hawks Chapter #4.

Again, welcome Bill

And, thanks BobK

Thanks Sam!! And we need you too!!

We also need Tad who's been bringing some of his ideas and contacts to the forum.

After all, we're trying to build a national hang gliding organization that respects its members, so we need everyone who shares that goal.

Jack Axaopoulos is at it again.

Fred Wilson submitted a very nice post on a topic titled "It was 40, 30, 20... Years Ago Today" (http://www.hanggliding.org/viewtopic.php?t=22748):

Moderator's Note:    Link now at: http://forum.hanggliding.org/viewtopic.php?t=22748.

"May 23, 1971. That is the date, perhaps, that hang gliding officially became a sport." - Maralys Wills

"The Lambie brothers, Mark and Jack, organized the Otto Lilienthal Universal Hang Glider Championships held on a hilltop in Corona del Mar, California on May 23, 1971 to celebrate the 123rd birthday of Otto Lilienthal. This event marked the rebirth of hang gliding in the USA"

He went on to write:

More stories at the US Hawks Hang Gliding Association: http://ushawks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=629

But Jack changed his post by substituting a different URL ("loserville.org"):

This is another example of why pilots can't trust what they read on hanggliding.org. It's also another example of Jack changing the actual words that someone has posted on his forum. Fred Wilson didn't write "loserville.org", yet to anyone reading the forum, that's what they're going to think that he said.

Jack is crossing the line here again, and the pilots on hanggliding.org should raise a protest against this kind of abuse. Of course, any protest will end up ... in the basement.
