World Recreational Encampment

Postby SamKellner » Mon Jul 17, 2017 10:02 am

Jeff Hunt

Jul 14 3:37 PM

So we have a trike for a person smaller than myself and one that would work even for a fat man.

Both fly as ultralights meaning no license requirements.

One with Z25 25 hp, other Rotax 503.

Both very good shape, just need a nice new home.

WRE LEAKEY

So we have house on airport rented for 8 days.

July 26-Aug 3

Wednesday - Thursday

Gonna have trikes, scooter tow gas and electric

Aerotow.

Mt Buzz good for PG foot launch.

WRE = World Recreational Encampment.

Super Job, Sam!!!!

It took me a few views, but I eventually picked up on the subtle difference between:

       World Record Encampment

and

       World Recreational Encampment

I just added a link to this topic in the main forum.

I hope you have a great event.

P.S. I was really trying to line everything up for the 2 day drive, but I couldn't put it all together for this event. :(

I'll be there.

If my family comes with, I'll fly local.

If not, I have a 200 mile itch left over from Refugio that needs to be itched. Thursday last week I had a 7.5 hr 135 miler just to be followed by a 8.5 hr 177 miler on Friday. Would be nice to see 200 miles.

I'll just be happy taking in some views.

Hawks,

Thanks Bob!

Hi Nate! Hope to see you later. Yesterday cloud base was ~7.5K. Chris Chaney had the flight of the day, hung out at base for 1.5hr.

Clouds aren't as good today but at least the wind is still from the SSE.

The TerryTow scooter is performing great. We've been pulling up HG and PG.

The PG footlaunchers will come in tomorrow to fly from Mt. Buz.

All walkaway landings so far 8-)

I need to upload some video.

The view from 10,700 ft (the airfield is 1640 ft) was great!
