Here's how soaring parachutists rationalize their aircraft collapsing in flight as it carries them high above the ground.
The implications of being not so high above the ground are not mentioned.
With a final word by USHPA's Jimbo to give money to a USHPA instructor.

Certainly of greater use to a psychologist studying mania and delusion than a discussion of aerodynamics.

The term Paraglider Dead Man's Curve was coined by sport aviation journalist and filmmaker Rick Masters.
It entered the lexicon of paragliding via the OZ Report in June 2009.

Collapse.
The reserve didn't help.
Too bad.
Like a collapse, the reserve parachute is also regarded as a safety feature by soaring parachutists.
It makes paragliding twice as safe.     :wtf:

Mark Reuss, the current GM Executive Vice President of Global Product Development, crashes the Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car at the Detroit Grand Prix. Don’t tell me I need to wear a helmet. I am an Executive Vice President. Look ma, we crash with no helmets.

I regard people not wearing helmets in extreme sports as akin to human sacrifices of virgins to the volcano.

It is not a forced sacrifice but a willing self-sacrifice - and therefore acceptable as family entertainment.
