This is exactly why I set up http://the103.club/ I would like to have a forum where people can discuss issues and not be censored. I know that's why Bob set up the Hawks. My goal was to set up something a bit more open in scope. Please feel free/encouraged to help *CREATE* the forum(s?) that you we all want.

What a topic ... dating back to 2011.

With Al, Bill, Tad, Sam, Michael, Warren, Rick, and now Logan.

An all star cast for sure ... and some of my greatest heroes in the sport.    :salute:

I guess I should thank Jack for bringing so many great pilots together!!

Hi Logan,
I love what you're doing. It's good to see you creating an opposition site.
The first step should be investing $46 and a little time creating an https certified website so it can get some traction on the Internet.
Many browsers now put up big scary warnings for plain vanilla http sites like yours and the US Hawks - and visitors turn away before they see what's there.
That little warning up there on the left is the giveaway that you are one step away from the dark web.
Nobody is serious in this opposition game on the Net, yet.
That's really sad.
We are all shouting in the dark and entertaining ourselves while the world rolls by without realizing we are here.
It's time to get serious and be real webmasters.
Who wants to be first?

Not mine. I post here. This is the alternative. This is the opposition.
We are either starting over or not starting over.
You can't do both at the same time.
Walk away.

Again, how does one walk away from a site you don't belong to in the first place?
Exposing Jack Axaopoulos for the lying scum he is, is neither starting over or not starting over.
I don't think we are talking about the same thing.
If one were to walk away from somewhere they are not, would that make that person a doppelganger?
Our mirror in an alternative world?
So confused..

Take your pick, Warren.

doppelganger (plural doppelgangers)
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/doppelganger

1) A ghostly double of a living person, especially one that haunts such a person.
2) An evil twin.
3) A remarkably similar double; a lookalike.
4) A monster that takes the forms of people, usually after killing them.         :o

Much more about doppelgangers than you ever really want to know:
https://rielyvontacore.weebly.com/doppelganger-facts.html

Now, are the people posting on those sites really who they say they are - or are they doppelgangers?

My girl told me that would cost $46, and foot rubs.... which part are you contributing?

I got banned from EAA Forums for some bizarre, unknown, unexplained reason for making this post, which was like my second post on the site, and seemed to me to be a pretty basic, legitimate question:
http://eaaforums.org/showthread.php?7358-How-can-I-get-my-local-EAA-Chapter-out-of-bed-with-the-local-cops-and-FAA

A good forum moderator, imho, should delete robot spam and accidental double posts, and maybe outright ad hominem attacks, and that's about it.

In my experience most everybody pretty much already stays mostly on topic, shares the same interests, is posting about flying in one way or another, and is trying to contribute to the place. Too many forums appoint someone who get's a god complex and smacks down posts with a heavy hand, and that reverberates and causes all sorts of disention and disgruntlement... particularly when you spent 30 minutes writing a very well crafted, lengthy post, and it gets deleted by some nutty admin, simply because your videwpoint you espouse may not be the majority opinion (but is still bloody right, because lets face it... the majority is quite often wrong).

Hi Chopper Girl,
We get upset when we try to do positive things or right wrongs and get banned from hang gliding forums by dopes.
You're upset because you violated the rules you agreed to when you joined the EAA Forum and started a political rant and got banned by real pilots for being a dope.
They want to discuss airplanes and responsible flying, not a police state and pigs and the joys of violating the FARs.
They would have taken you under their wings and helped you immeasurably. You threw that away. Why?

You can post political stuff here in The Free Speech Zone if you want.
https://www.ushawks.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=15
We're all FAR 103 ultralight pilots here, you know. A lot of EAA types think we're a little weird.
We like you. We'd like to know how your project is going.
But must of us don't know how to glue things together very well.
We look upon glue with suspicion.
Gimme an AN bolt and a nut and I'm good.

One thing that makes us different from the EAA is that if you are kidnapped by the pigs for exposing the police state,
we will come rescue you with our hang gliders - like this:

There are two things I've always wondered about this poster:
    1) Exactly where are the chopper's blades? And...
    2) Is that base tube really going where it looks like it is going?
Joe should put that in his TCF positions!

I read most of the posts in that topic and from what I saw, you only made one post (the first in the topic). It triggered some good comments (on both sides) and it seems like an important topic. I did see a mention of you being banned, but I didn't see anything deserving of a ban. I also didn't see the actual ban either. Did they delete something? That's a common tactic of the "banners". They like to cover their tracks.

At this point, I don't know what I don't see. Maybe you could fill us in? Thanks.

As far as banning goes, it is an extremely destructive practice. It's especially destructive to small sports like ours. That doesn't mean that it isn't sometimes needed ... but there should be a clear and defensible reason. I haven't seen any such reason yet.
