The initial complaint should be made available from the Courthouse at some point. I would like to see what ACA came up with to tell the judge they had a case to begin with.
Then two days of badgering depositions? Wow. Why would it take so much time to get to the point? How many ways can a lawyer ask, 'Bob, did you say this bad thing about this fascist corporation that feeds off the public teat with free rent/city collusion?'
I would think to prove libel, what someone says would have to be a lie that they didn't believe to be true, in order for it to be a crime.
We still don't know what ACA lawyers think was offensive. That should have been spelled out in the original complaint and that shouldn't have taken more than a few pages?

I would like to see what ACA came up with to tell the judge they had a case to begin with.

They filled their filing with pages and pages of posts from the U.S. Hawks. Among other things, their law suit is an attack on free speech and on our right to document what we've seen at the Gliderport.

Then two days of badgering depositions? Wow. Why would it take so much time to get to the point? How many ways can a lawyer ask, 'Bob, did you say this bad thing about ...

I have estimated that the Torrey concessionaire brings in nearly $2,000,000 every year based on past reported income. That buys a lot of lawyer time to do exactly those things. The costs to defend a case can be prohibitive to anyone with less resources. Just depositions and videos alone can cost many thousands of dollars. Saldana knows this, and that's why he wanted so desperately to keep me from making my own recording. He wanted to either disadvantage me by depriving me of my right to the video evidence of my own deposition or to disadvantage me by forcing me to spend resources on obtaining evidence rather than on other aspects of the case. Fortunately, the Judge was swayed more by the written law than by Saldana's shenanigans.

I've purchased the initial complaint dated 05/11/2015 of 132 pages. Haven't read them all but Margie was included at that time, along with 20 unnamed DOES to be announced as the crack legal investigators identified them. So 4 years later, they've identified Margie, named her and none of the other unnamed 19 co-commenters that supposedly conspired to write bad things that they all believed to be untrue.

Jebb and Marien know they can't make their case. This is about legal harassment and inflicting financial and time stress on Bob.
It looks like Bob's defense is Margie's defense. She isn't affected unless Bob is convicted for a fake crime that is actually a free speech issue.
This has to be quite expensive. Bob isn't making millions a year off free lease public land.
I think a go-fund-me for free speech defense would be appropriate.
Everyone can give a little. This is bigger than hang gliding.
A dirty corporation is attacking free speech and free speech needs defending.
Please set up something that we can all use to help fund this fight against this corporate abuse of free speech.

I am truly honored that you would care enough to actually purchase any of those documents and consider digging through them. Thank you very much.



As far as collecting any money (via GoFundMe or otherwise) please focus on helping Margie and not me. I am very nervous about defending myself, but it's my choice to make. But because I'm not a lawyer, I can't defend both of us. Margie hasn't done anything to deserve this, and I simply request that all resources collected go to her defense.

Other than that, I am in general agreement with your other comments.

Finally, if anyone reads the complaint, you will find the bulk of their "evidence" are pages from the U.S. Hawks (including both posts and videos). They are reading our site constantly, and they would surely like to shut us down. So please be mindful not to give them any help. Also, please use personal messaging (or the good old telephone) if you want to share strategic advice about the case.

Hello, I have much empathy for the situation you and others find yourselves. Emotional support is what we have and give freely. As long as we give mentorship to all New pilots (no matter the aircraft or age), we and they will continue to progress forward in life, knowing that attention to detail are the 'real' survival skills. My dad taught me at a young age, "there is only one thing that you have to learn to be a good pilot" .....As he 'winged over' his 150....... "How not to throw up". Fair winds to you, and know the 'ill wind' coming from the behinds of the city council will eventually suffocate them.

The best way around this is to copy the videos to hard drive and re-post them by an individual who is not afraid of those 2. I don't have the time at the moment but I have copied dozens of videos that either I had taken off youtube for IP violation or others took down and I wanted a copy and knew it would get taken down.

The bigger problem would be changing the hundreds of YouTube links embedded in the forum so they still showed the original video. That would take some work to keep track of the translation and an SQL script to do the update.

Christopher Saldana is the lawyer for Air California Adventure. He recently served me with a subpoena for all of my text messages dating back to the year 2000. I filed a motion to quash the subpoena. The matter will be heard tomorrow morning at 9:00 am in Department 66 of California Superior Court in downtown San Diego.
