Seriously. I have enjoyed giving voice to the words of others because it lets the City Council know that there are many out there - from coast to coast - watching them. I guess that is "Hawk Eyes" after all.
A little searching on the forum turned up this topic from about 2 years ago and the two speeches written by Scott and Bill.

This is about 1 citizen pilot being banned from participating in the sport he loves. Think about it for a minute. How can one citizen pilot cause a "giant non-profit organization" to pay sooo much attention.???? .... oh I know, this one pilot and some friends created US HAWKS.org.... .Did they think that he would not FIGHT BACK?? Good-on-ya Bob. Laura Burnett said "The Torrey Pines Glider Port needs to be operated and managed like the "unique priceless treasure" that it is". A month by month "free" lease to robin marien & the jebb family ........... How do they control city council This way??????
This is a "hot topic" although it's a "NOT topic for council, a "hot potato" they can't hold on to. This whole issue and more will become a "sizzling HOT seat" for them in the near future, and we'll all get to see them "squirm" and "cut bait".
