I have been binging information on the Lilienthal gliders, lately. This video by DLR nicely sums up the recent reconstruction efforts in cooperation with the Lilienthal museum in Anklam, MV.:

The build is very authentic - no swaged wires, no stainless steel fitting. They even used original old looms to produce the cloth for the wings.
