Malpractice insurance must be paid by individual officers.
This is how car insurance works. This is how doctor’s insurance works. If the person violates someone and they develop a paper trail they will price themselves out of the profession. In the situation of malpractice among cops they will price themselves out of a job before review boards, chiefs, unions, DA’s, and judges can cover for them. It works on we the people so why have a special class of people that have qualified immunity from the laws they swore an oath to uphold?

As for me I have no recollection of the day I was born. If lie detectors are accurate then my statement would prove to be the truth. Therefore my birthdate, if asked of me, would only be hear/say and not admissible in court. If I’m found to be wrong on my birthdate that would be lying to the police? Why can I not remain silent on this issue when a cop demands that I state my birthdate? Is there some legal mumble jumble that sets aside logic, truth, and reality?
