What I am about to say might very Well soundlike "I am a Drama Queen" Hell maybe I am in indeed a drama Queen. But I see My life these last eleven and half Years as an Personal epic life event. For day by Day I inch closer and closer to Norma lacy. Granted My normal is everyone else's "Abby Normal" but it is my Normal. I realize that I have many friends who have been supporting Me and my Quest to regain My vin and vigor. I want to thank all of so deeply and sincerely. Trust me Your comments regarding Me and the effort that I am undertaking to recover has not been lost by Me. Thank all of You that have been there for Me.

Hello Chris, You are a good writer.
Consider for a moment, this from Dr. Jordan B. Peterson

Also, a book I have read with relish, by Ernest K. Gann , Fate Is The Hunter, "A Pilot's Memoir".
I like this book because it speaks to the WWII aviators, who came home from war and started small Airlines.
My father went to work for American Airlines in 1946, the year I was born, after flying one of the greatest aircraft, like your Predator, the B-25 Mitchell, in the Pacific.
My little face was always glued to the 'window', as we flew low across the country, and I felt like a giant, controlling everything. I knew all the airplanes, and the smell of the tarmac was in my blood. Dad would walk back into the cabin to greet the passengers, (after setting the fledgling auto pilot named "George"), and I would say to my brother, "That's my dad, who's flying the plane??". Mother would slap me on the shoulder, and say, "don't scare the passengers for Gods sake".
Another good read is, A Gift Of Wings , by, Richard Bach , of Jonathan Livingston Seagull fame.
The color is green for GO Chris, keep your chin up, walk "heel to toe", (because there is a second heart in the calf muscles), and breathe , bottom to top, top to bottom, push all the air out.
I think I posted this poem some time ago, and I think I'll post it again to you:

Guys You know I am in the midst of My working toward nursing My wounds. I work on My Damaged Brain every Day. I do simple Math Problems in My Head as a form of Mental therapy. To exercise My brain. I do things, very simple things by anyone's standard. Yes as an Mental exercise I work My brain by doing things such as multiplying Fractions in My Mind. A Person's mind has much plasticity. But I need too work My Brain. Just like doing things like riding My Bicycle which is attached to an eccentric trainer. I get on My Bicycle. As I ride My Bike IO am rewarded with seeing My Heartrate go lower, and lower. To Date I have seem Forty Four Beats per minute.

I want to one Day return to Flying My Predator. I so want to do literally what is said in the Bible. ISAIAH 40;31 But They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings as Eagles.

Hello US Hawks!!

Postby Finis » Wed Dec 08, 2021 9:15 pm

Hi!

Some of you have met me at Dry Canyon Fly In's. I may have driven your trucks on the notorious road to the launch. Dry Canyon is in RGSA territory near Alamogordo, NM.

I drive at Fly In's and between when needed. I make films about Fly In's and sometimes other flying here. I'll put them in a thread in the Videos section and you can see them here https://vimeo.com/showcase/7910008 .

I'm a friend of Robin Hastings and I worked with him in the 90's. Between Fly In's he would tell me of pilot's needing a driver here or give them my contact info. Now that he has passed on I thought we can communicate about that here.

You are a hero to every pilot you've ever driven!    :salute:

I've only watched a few so far, but they are really great!! I like both your editing and music. I may be asking you some questions in that topic if you don't mind.

It's an honor to see you showcase your work here on the forum. I've taken the liberty of cross-linking your video topic into the RGSA forum so people can find your excellent work in both places.

As you surely know, Robin was a great human being, and he was a great supporter of the RGSA forum. He used to post there at least once a week with his forecasts and other commentary. He will be very much missed by us. It's very nice that you've chosen to post here in his remembrance. Thank you very much.

If you have any questions about the forum, please let me know. We have a lot of sections, and it can be a little confusing. I'm happy to help you any way I can. Please feel free to send me a PM or EMail any time, or just pick up the phone and call me. I'll always be happy to hear from you.

Thanks again, and ... once again ...

Welcome to the U.S. Hawks!!

Finis has made it possible many times to get me into the air.
Thank Finis!
Covid has put quite a damper on flying and with the
Forestry Service no longer maintaining the road up
Dry Canyon it has made insuring the landing area
look like money not well spent. Maybe towing upwind
of the landing zone (LZ) at the White Sands Regional
Airport, catching a thermal, then heading for the old
launch area would make insuring the LZ worth the money.

It's so sad that hang gliding has fallen victim to USHPA's insurance scam.
