My question is why is it that people are so gullible in believing a government that has repeatedly been proven to lie and murder its own citizens, time and again?

Give me a plausible theory for that, please.

I don't disagree that people are gullible, and we may agree on many issues where that's the case. But the best explanation I see for the 9/11 collapses is based on terrorists flying planes into buildings. Is it perfect? Probably not, but if you can't put a better explanation on the table, then I'm going to stick with what I believe is best.

There are an infinite number of more complex hypotheses that are all unprovable - either right or wrong. So Occam's razor says that we should choose the one requiring the fewest assumptions like JFK behind the terrorists, space aliens behind the terrorists, or George Bush behind the terrorists.

I was trying to say that all those examples (JFK, space aliens, George Bush) being behind the terrorists violated Occam's razor because they added another unjustified and unproven level of complexity to the simple theory that the terrorists were behind the terrorists. They (JFK, space aliens, and George Bush) were the additional unproven assumptions that could be made but were not justified by the observable facts. The way I worded it was sloppy and might not have made that clear. Sorry.

There's no diversion. You said they fell at near the speed of gravitational free fall. That's pretty much what I would expect. When your down tubes buckle, they reach a point where they offer little resistance to your freefall and you hit the ground under the nearly unrestricted acceleration of gravity.

Can you give me a better theory? That's what's missing from this discussion.

Yes, distracting, I've just wasted 1hr here looking for something relavent to 'hang gliding general' so please excuse me while I go to another forum and look for some details concerning a tow cart,and how to build one. Well there is your problem. How could anyone expect dozens of massive structural beams to be crushed vertically at the same acceleration speed that a bowling ball would free fall in open air with no obstructions to hinder that acceleration?

Aluminium downtubes are not destroyed in vertical compression when your 250 lb. body swings through their several ounce mass in a horizontal plane. When you blow a downtube you get two pieces and a break in the middle.

You complain of taking 15 minutes to review a video, (which was to be a ~starting~ point of investigation) and you have probably taken an hour or so in dismissing the ~implications~ of the discussion.

The bigger picture here is the outcome of the fairy tale official story that you refuse to question.

An implication of censorship of this discussion seems eminent. Terry, it shouldn't have taken you an hour to see that tow carts were probably not being discussed here.
Have you clicked on the John Pop cart link I provided a couple times on the S.W. Texas site?
I built one of those a few years ago and it really worked nice.
By the way, I believe it ended up in Texas with other equipment that used to belong to me.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tours the oil refinery in Abadan during the inauguration of the plant in May, 2011. The Iranian news agency IRNA reported today that a U.S. missile hit an oil depot in the southwest village of Abadan on Wednesday. IRNA said British and American jets had entered Iranian airspace several times.

In addition to the oil depot attack, two rockets reportedly hit the village of Manyuhi near the border of Iraq’s al-Faw Peninsula near the Persian Gulf and the Iraqi city of Basra.

“In the border city of Arvand-Kenar, the invading American and British airplanes violated the airspace of the Islamic Republic of Iran three times,” a commander told the Islamic Republic News Agency.

The governor of Abadan told IRNA that three people, including a guard at the oil depot, had been released from hospital after receiving treatment, reports Mail Online.

No details were released on damage to the oil depot.

On December 12, Iran said its new Abadan refinery will raise its daily output of high-octane gasoline by almost 12,600 barrels by January 20, 2012. “Gasoline making and upgrading plans of Abadan oil refinery are going on respectively with 800 million and 3 billion dollars investment,” the Iranian Fars New Agency reported on December 13.

During the Republican debates in November, Newt Gingrich said he would bomb Iran “as a last resort and with a goal of bringing about the downfall of the government.”

In June, the former Speaker of the House said that the U.S. should “sabotage” Iran’s oil and gas infrastructure as part of its efforts to bring down the government. Gingrich said the U.S. should “use covert operations … to create a gasoline-led crisis to try and replace the regime.”

In early December, Iran warned that any attempt to cut its oil production would more than double crude prices with cataclysmic result on a battered global economy.

“As soon as such an issue is raised seriously the oil price would soar to above $250 a barrel,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said in a newspaper interview.

Changing the title to better reflect my intent would go more like 'Davis Straub, Idiot Savant or Why Statists Rationalize Endless Global Wars and Domestic Tyranny'. Will that fit in the title line?

Speculating on what we think happened is like children speculating how the magician makes a rabbit disappear.
My question referred to known laws of physics that happen to have been altered on 9/11 and like your false argument that Ron Paul, was an "isolationist" with all its connotations, your answer to basic physics questions was to turn that discussion into speculative 9/11 theories with all its crazy conspiratorial connections.

Call me conspiratorial but millions of dollars are being spent to hire disinformation tacticians to do exactly what you appear to be doing. Steering/manipulating/controlling discussions, exactly like the idiot savant Davis Straub does, when he has to. Lately Davis has been silent because his previous actions have stiffled all debate and discussion, as is the statist game plan.

Great. Lets keep the topic here but to be fair, I can't see how anyone would have been too confused in thinking they were going to get 'Hang Gliding 101' out of the title that was already on this thread. The one I suggest above will be even more so but it may happen to draw in someone that could actually be concerned about the grave future this country and the world faces as long as this type of discussion is discouraged or diminished by the thought control police and their 'in the box' thought programmed robots.

But I may just be dreaming.. there is nothing to be concerned about and we should all just go out and have a fun fun day..
