By the way, speaking of banning, it looks like Tad wasn't able to honor freedom of speech on his KiteStrings forum. He just banned me for making a few fairly short but targeted posts. I was offering examples of Tad's inability to admit his mistakes, and that drove him over the edge.
Tad makes a lot of very good points on his forum, and I support many of his conclusions related to hang gliding. But his own ego (or defense of his own ego) leads him into corners where he can't escape or back down ... even when he's clearly wrong. For Tad, I think it's more about the argument than arriving at the truth. But for all of his shortcomings, he's always taken my phone calls, and we've generally had civil conversations. I can't say that about a lot of other people in the sport of hang gliding.
