Eagle, have you ever landed at La Jolla Shores?

Hi there

We're not supposed to fly South past the Pier Or North of Bathtub rock ~
This is due MOSTLY to Para Glider fall out and Poor Glider Port Management.... Whats NEW?
Total Bummmer ~ Better Check the on Current Rule's for they're always Changing.

Ok to Land on the North side of Pier, there's Steep Boat ramp Access ~ In an ER ~ Anywhere Safely Along the Beach is Possible ~

A Hang Glider Flying 500ft above Objects Is Still Ok ~ I Think by the Rule's and or Power of $$$ ~ If ya take the Heat from Opposes
(Paying Them is a Bad Idea. Don't feed the Greed.)
Getting stuck too low or deep over Mt Soledad & the LJ Shores could be trouble in getting back to the Glider Port.
Could be Dangerous landing Out on the Beach or Buildings Just for FUN

Over the years, ... I've been lucky In a Hang Glider to Fly Over Mt Soledad Reaching 2,400 msl ~ Don't try this in a Para Glider
I've landed several times on the Beach, Forced down on a Lul or high wind storm I Never Had a Problem Landing in Front of the Lot about the End of the Palms Heading North (See Pic)
Unless Storm Hits , Its a Crowded Beach ~ ~ Don't Mow Over a Tourist & Blow Yer Whistle ~
Always be Polite YOU Represent All Pilots
Pray for No ticket or Suspension...

Getting Low on the North Face ~ Having a Traffic Problem's ~ Crowded Sky ~ Few People on the Landing Zone , Students, Instructors, Spectators
Blind Flight Directors ~ RC TOY Planes ~ Radio's ~ Cameras & Poor Visibility ~ Deadly Wake turbulence from Other Pilots

Shoulda thought About It ~ Its Nice to Land with 100 ft into the Wind ~ Just on the Top , Back Crest of the Hill (not in pic)
(BLOW YER WHISTLE) and Carefully Pick YER SPOT ~ Ya Get One Chance ~

Let see at this point ~ Landing on the Beach is Always a Safe Option ~ If Not, Blowing yer whistle for a Clear Spot on the Apron
Don't Attempt this Unless You're A PRO or Plan NUTS
Its a Aircraft Approach Belly Slider landing ~ Wheels are Gr8 knuckle savers ~ Yup Just Slip it over the Green & thru the Rotor
~ Better EVEN Yet Nail that Flare ~ Ya Like On YOUR FEET ~

A Safe a clean Landing On top is preferred, But Not Worth Getting Hurt ~ Fly Safe and land on the beach if need

This is very very good advice!!! More people get hurt trying to stay up and land on top than would ever get hurt landing on the wide beach. Just remember that unless the wind is crossing with a significant north or south component, there will be very little wind on the beach. So there's almost never a need to land toward the ocean. It's much safer to land parallel to the surf line than heading into it.
