Eagle, you were one of only four people who raised their hands to vote against the Jebb's control of the Soaring Council back in 2007. I'll always remember your courage when it counted.
Unfortunately, courage is in short supply these days. Our only hope is working together as we have throught the Torrey Hawks and now the US Hawks. Thanks Eagle!
By the way, for anyone else reading this, both Eagle and myself are biwingual pilots (both hang gliding and paragliding). So please don't interpret any of our comments as being against paragliding. The problem is that the concession is actively pushing paragliding to the detriment of hang gliding. In the process, they are pitting the two sports against each other. You don't see that at places like Crestline because the Crestline management (which is a club!!) doesn't push one sport over another. It's unfortunate that many of the PG pilots in USHPA's leadership (like Rich Hass) turn their backs on this fact and that further drives a wedge between the sports.
I applaud all of the great clubs like Crestline and the RGSA who support both sports with fairness.
