We go now to another version of Joy Frame
of the "One-cell" variety hugging the wing
which wing gives rigid position of the rectangular-pyramid down tube legs.
This version of Joy Frame has system CG closer to the wing.
The "heart" is now just the apex of the pyramid.
Notice that the skies may be water-floats. See Portable Mountain honoring today's court challenge:

Using inflated wing spar and water-float skis, then one would have a HG that would float.
Recall that we may have all the down tubes pre-curved off straight in order to facilitate landing-shock damping.

Notice the advanced wing involved in the article there. See link there to the correct patent; the article had a typo in the patent number.

For the wing-runner, having one big wheel between running legs is challenging. A primary-glider non-wing-running arrangement may more easily look into a single large wheel where pilot is set inside the wheel.

The two rear legs leave more room for the pilot's leg to be placed left or right.
The front two legs are compound shaped to provide hand hold, upper-arm-should control bracing against a couple of positions of hand hold; plus the compound shape in lower sector allows wide contact feet.
Both front-leg set and rear-leg set are shaped to give wide feet as well as some spring or damping shape.

What in some splat incidents turned out to have one say: "That was not a safe splat !"
Learning from unsafe splats is the target here. Analyze splats that ended in injury or worse; look for what could have been different. Search for how to tweak the scene toward Safe-Splat realm.

Article in the PDF by Helen Ross-Lee is in focus at the moment. Helen elsewhere described her incident as a "freak accident." How "freak" when one looks closely? Has there been in hang gliding literature enough matter to have avoided the incident; veterans were near; what might have been missed?

Does anyone have any comprehensive analysis of the Helen Ross-Lee incident? TIA.
She notes that the incident was during AT with a low-level lockout.
Part of honoring her will be to know the incident thoroughly and let such be a process of gifting avoidance of any similar incident.
Investing to operate and have means to stay whole would be a strong way to bless the future of hang gliders.
