Happy Holiday,

Wow great news the trespass charge suspended. This should be viewed as a dignified surrender. A cease fire.
The restraining order can change either or both Bob and the gliderport behavior and effect tourism.
If the restraining order was issued so both parties shake hands then I would be all for it so we could have sportsmanship and move on and close this case. The sports of paragliding and hang gliding need a competitive rivalry under sportsman like conditions so we can concentrate on safety and engineering issues.

The Torrey situation has remained inexplicable in so many ways that it's hard to know how deep Jebb's contacts may run. That's not strong enough to be proof in court, but it does temper my decisions regarding the police in this city.

Having your vehicle broken into makes you a little paranoid of dirty cops? A dirty drug cop would have no problem setting you up to have drugs found in your van.

The pictures on the first page of this topic suggest that something is rotten somewhere.

Those pictures show a minor social injustice, viewed from the broad perspective.
The corrupt war on drugs is much more rotten, as you defended in a previous footnote:
Footnote: Regarding the war on drugs, we may respectfully disagree. I've seen real lives ruined with drugs - people very close to me. Their lives weren't ruined by the illegality or the cost. Their lives were ruined by the extremely - and I mean extremely - addictive nature of these substances. The human body was designed to crave various chemical messengers that are carefully doled out by our endocrine system. That craving shapes our behavior because it was designed to shape our behavior. It's very hard to resist the pull of those substances because we were designed to obey them!! Short-circuiting that carefully balanced motivational system by ingesting or injecting artificial "feel good" drugs of any kind is a highly irresponsible and often dangerous thing to do.

Tell me how arresting and ruining the lives of so many people has helped anyone except the corrupt system?
Should we defend you if you get busted with something illegal in your car? A little jail time shouldn't ruin you, right?

No. That's what bothers me about this.

wingspan33 wrote:Or, are they (effectively) holding a possible reissuing of that charge over your head?

That's what I think is happening.

wingspan33 wrote:This is the kind of City of San Diego (connected with their police department) activity that comes off as corrupt. Definitely a corruption of JUSTICE!

I agree 100%. Whatever corruption has caused the City to give the concessionaire a pass for all these years is still somewhere inside the City government.

There's a difference between intentionally breaking drug laws and being framed for a crime that wasn't committed at all.

Happy Holidays to you as well.

It's actually not great news. I ended up choosing to go to jail so the matter would end up being heard in a court of law ... where justice matters. If the City refuses to press charges, then they've basically gotten away with jailing a citizen overnight on false charges with no consequences.

The corruption is systemic and you are poking a stick at some mid to high level players. They use your money against you.
They ship the drugs in and the guns abroad in order to take our rights away and fill the private profit prison system.

Ranger, do you know about the military guarding the heroin crop in the mid east?

How can we tell the difference?
Will there be video?

It's hard to know where the corruption lies when looking at it from the outside. I just know I've seen dozens of things that haven't added up in the last 7 years.

I've never heard anything about it. I served in the mid to late seventies, and I was always stationed in the US.

I do believe there's corruption in the City of San Diego, but that doesn't mean that everyone in the City is involved. You have to look at each person's actions on a case by case basis. The same is true in almost any situation.

I don't have video of everything that's ever happened in the world ... but I have video of what happened at Torrey Pines on November 9th, 2014.
