Yes, Michael, here is the list concerning the 2011 Otto Marker event.
We were thankful for the neat cake and cooling ice cream that
Michael Grisham brought for the Otto Party.
Yum! Happy Birthday, Otto Lilienthal.
I get a feeling I have missed one person.
The
Privitt family was large at original meet and large at this 2011 commemoration.
Again, special thanks to the follow-up leadership stepped by
Bob Kuczewski and
Margie Holland that brought the actual marker to be physically effected.
By proxy
Ernest Feher sent
John Rittenhouse. Ernest was calling in from China. Ernest was an original Otto-meet attendee.
Lloyd Licher sent his greetings to the gathering.
Otto Meet Marker Project founder: _____
Neil Larson ____could not get in from Florida. He had been the strong first returnee in 2008 to begin the project. He has done substantial work on the project since 2008. He was a young teen totally enthralled with what he saw in 1971; his interest has emphatically continued. He is primary historian for
Jack Lambie; Neil was our first official SCHGA and USHGA historian. Neil was totally present in spirit at San Miguel Park.
By proxy I represented
Richard Saffold. And by proxy
Jonathan Dietch who was intending taking video of the event, but by special dust devil was physically prevented from being present.
Steve Corbin was moving toward the party strongly. Many others expressed spirited presence for the 2011 party.
Ken de Russy, top-drawer HG history collector guy lent his best wishes for the event. The 1960-and-forward-UK-HG-pioneer
Tony Prentice was carried into the party as much as possible; his continued attention on HG history has directly synergistically energized the project. Similarly, the unfolding of the
Barry Hill Palmer story gave foundational support for carrying the Otto Meet Marker project to fruition; his earlier inputs spurred a flow that resulted in the
Conduit Condor and eventually the
Colver Skysail. And I noticed the wings of
Richard Miller, and
Jack Lambie, and
Paul MacCready, and
George Dighera, and
Art Bean, and
Otto Lilienthal, and
Octave Chanute, and
Percy S. Pilcher in a sky gathering of crows that circled above our Monday meeting …
Waldo Waterman, and
Volmer Jensen, and
Thomas H. Purcell, and
Francis M. Rogallo, and
Irv Culver seemed to have graced the crows' thermal session.

Frank Colver accepted the marker in custodianship until final resting placement for the stone is accomplished. Appropriately,
non-original-Otto-Meet-attendees
Joe Greblo,
Mike Meier,
Bob Kuczewski, and
Bob Trampenau presented the marker to
Frank Colver in confirmation of the worldwide significance of the 1971 sporting event. Yeah!
Much thanks to project founder
Neil Larson for carrying his enthusiasm through the years to this point.
