He'd better hurry if he wants to make America great again for Putin.

There's something about humor that bypasses the rational part of the brain. Profanity can have a similar effect. Both can be used as tools to plant incorrect ideas in the minds of others by skirting the brain's critical thinking and filtering capabilities.

Whenever you see someone relying heavily on humor or profanity in their arguments, it's good to ask why they can't make their case with logic alone. The answer is often that they have no case with logic alone.

I'm not saying that humor is bad. It's one of the many joys that are given to us on the buffet of life. But beware when it's being used to persuade people in matters where logic is the better tool for finding the truth.

Trump has a dangerous disability
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions ... 9817ca0437
George F. Will wrote:It is urgent for Americans to think and speak clearly about President Trump’s inability to do either. This seems to be not a mere disinclination but a disability. It is not merely the result of intellectual sloth but of an untrained mind bereft of information and married to stratospheric self-confidence...

...Americans have placed vast military power at the discretion of this mind, a presidential discretion that is largely immune to restraint by the Madisonian system of institutional checks and balances. So, it is up to the public to quarantine this presidency by insistently communicating to its elected representatives a steady, rational fear of this man whose combination of impulsivity and credulity render him uniquely unfit to take the nation into a military conflict.

Donald Trump was the "Hail Mary Pass" of voters who were desperate to escape the "business as usual" grip of both parties. He was more of a "third party" candidate than a member of the Republican establishment. His genius was in recognizing that a third party candidate had no chance, so he had to take over one of the two major parties. This really bugged most of the "establishment Republcans", and many became the "Never Trumpers". George Will was one of the early "Never Trumpers" and his ego is on the line.

Only time will tell if our gamble on the "Hail Mary Pass" will be a game-winning touchdown or an incomplete pass (maybe an interception?). Right now, the ball is still in the air.

Thanks for your quotes of George Will. While I don't agree with them, they do a good job of supporting your case.
