https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paragliding

Today's modern parachutes are classified into two categories – ascending and descending canopies. All ascending canopies refer to paragliders, built specifically to ascend and stay aloft as long as possible. Other parachutes, including ram-air non-elliptical, are classified as descending canopies by manufacturers.

Some modern parachutes are classified as semi-rigid wings, which are maneuverable and can make a controlled descent to collapse on impact with the ground.

Now enter the landowner who controls the launch and or LZ. Would you want unrated and financially irresponsible pilots using your property? If one of these deadbeat causes injury or property damage to another party guess who is left holding the bag? You are! That's who. Without this liability protection for landowners we lose most of our flying sites. Plain and simple. Why do you think certain pilots get kicked out? Anyone who undermines our ability to keep our liability insurance is a liability to everyone else. Sound familiar? We all belong to a risk pool and anyone who threatens that risk pool is likely to be ejected by the board that governs it. It's the same reason your rates will get jacked up and then you will get dropped by your auto insurance policy.

https://www.amazon.com/Breeze-Colorwave ... DJRF7B6SYD

The "shape" of the wing " is important to the professional and the novice Kite Flyer. The shape of HangGlider Wings is the preferred shape because of its simplicity, and its "A" Frame. David Cronk and his friends built and flew model "kites" before they built and flew the scaled up versions of their wings. (Each Wing was given a name, starting with the "bamboo bombers".

https://www.flyozone.com/paragliders/products/gliders
To put the word "Glider" in the same sentence or para graph with the word "Para-anything or para chute, is part of the marketing thievery that will go on.
The Torrey Glider Port is a good example of how they use their "rewritten history of the word, "Glider", to fill their cash drawers.
Who can come up with a "cartoon" drawing of "a stale biscuit with garnish on top,...under a canopy. .....canope....canape' (sofa)

https://www.prokitesusa.com/recommended-stunt-kites/

"Wings " should bring a Class Action Suit against the "canope's for defamation of character!! For a canope' to even remotely consider itself "A ®Wing, it would have to remake itself. into A "single point attachment " to the Center of Gravity of the airframe. The "marketing " for Chinese Paragliders have stolen the word "Hang", from HangGlider, and put in "Para".

And then comes ground school. ZZZZZZZ. "String Theory? .....got it.... .let's fly
And they make it so easy to buy a "Para" with full insurance and instruction package. (If you buy their product , they will give you "free" lessons, and fly in an "instructor" salesman pilot , no matter where you live)(But they don't tell you how expensive it is, being you will have to buy
many of these "Paras" . (every three years of so) and they don't tell you that what they are selling you, doesn't last very long, before it hits the scrap pile.
And they don't tell you that you most likely , Will have to join this club.
And they don't tell you that the "American Hang Gliding Companies totally "Washed their hands" of "Para" long ago, due to the "liability issues" , not only from an "accident prone" "PARA MEDIC", aspect, but from the aspect of being ONLY made in china .
Hawks should put together a team, to make a Dinesh D'Souza style docu drama. about the marketing tactics , and funny goof-up videos. of the u-know-who non-profit characters.

And put ®HangGliding back into "soap commercials".

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qEqzwyofkyo

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aD4sB4VIsXs
Now there is a squeaky clean, "Dialed in Pilot", who is ready to do battle with the "sphere".
The para glider flyer has a "dirty wing" , which no soap can keep "clean" for long. HG is the "anti-bacterial" soap for PG, and once PG uses it , it will feel clean again, and a French scent is available for "after bath".
