SW Texas pilots, With a long weekend coming up this weekend The RGSA, (Rio Grande Soaring Association) wants to let you know that we have reserved the Landing Zone, with the City of Alamogordo, for camping and are planning to have a BBQ in the LZ each evening.
This will not be a competition fly-in but will be a fun flying weekend. There will be no meet fee but we do ask anyone attending to be a current USHPA member and also a member of the RGSA club for an annual fee of $25.00.
We do have a H2/P2 site just a few miles north of our main SW facing launch. The main launch has a H3/P3 requirement however if your instructor is along it is a H2/P2. Only your instructor will know if you are ready for the main launch.
Check out our web sit below.
The other link is showing the long range forecast to be good but keep an eye out in case they change the forecast.
We will have a porta-john in the LZ but have your own water along.
The gate to the LZ will be unlocked from Friday afternoon until Monday evening.
Come for some great mountain flying. :) :D
