We wouldn't have much of a Chapter Forum without ... chapters!!!

So my thanks go out to you for all you've done to build your chapter and to promote hang gliding in your area.

That reminds me that we need to get working on the Training Manual again!! Up until now, it's been an "academic" topic, but with real students, there's now a real need.

Sam, as you work with your students, please let us know what kinds of on-line training materials you'd like to see at each stage. For example, if your students are having trouble with the difference between air speed and ground speed, please make a request, and maybe we can come up with a chapter that explains it for them.

As they say, necessity is the mother of invention!!!

Well the condor arrived.

A new training harness from Steve Wendt at Blue Sky should arrive in a day or two

Bill,

The box is 15'-2"x10"x12", double wall cardboard. Looks like a truck and trailer will deliver gliders. This driver said he comes to this area 3 times a week.
It cost an extra $130. to get it back out here from San Antonio. Since I'm an instructor, WW had no problem shipping directly to me. I made the order through Mel, when I completed the IP in Albuquerque.

The smaller/normal daily delivery step van will deliver smaller parts.

One of the senior Houston WW dealers has offered to let me purchase through his dealership at WW cost, until I get my own account.

Hey, I need a good deal on some Spectra. ~2,000ft.

Hi Bob,

What I'm gonna need is to get a couple of scootertow videos on a CD. I've been looking at a bunch of them. Tracy Tillman is posting on the Towing Yahoo group, skysailingtowing.    That's almost as good as attending a clinic. :) Thank You Tracy :!:

Tracy has some low n slow videos on his website that would be very useful for beginners, so they could see what they are in for. Steve Wendt has some also, that are equally as good.

A CD might be easier/better, so I could pop it in anywhere.

Things are looking up

Sam,
Hadley Robinson of:
http://www.southwestairsports.com/

doesn't use Spectra but a similar type of line on his hydro. winch.
He may have information about tow line.
He also is the guy to communicate about opening State Parks in TX since he has already done so.
