Rick Masters in ridged frame conveyance

Here is Rick in a glider (water borne) that keeps its shape in turbulence as long as solid objects are not impacted.

Note at this point we are at the famous XC crossing point halfway between Mt. Tinemaha on the Sierra and Black Mt. (in photo) on the southern tip of the Whites.

The only waterframed vehicle seen in Owens River was equipped with a ballistic rescue collie.
Frank's inflatable paracanoe somehow escaped being poked by a sharp stick in river turbulence, collapsing and sinking out of sight.
