Frank Colver wrote:Fantastic video! Thanks Bob.

I've loved that song from the moment I heard it back in the 70's. A local Seattle radio station would play full albums late at night, and they played Al Stewart's "Year of the Cat" one night. I recorded it on my old cassette recorder and listened to it many times. The title track ("Year of the Cat") was a popular hit, but I don't know if "Flying Sorcery" ever made the charts. When I met Millie and learned of her flying history, she reminded me of that song:

Al Stewart wrote:With your photographs of Kitty Hawk and the biplanes on your wall,
You were always Amy Johnson from the time that you were small.
No school room kept you grounded when your thoughts could get away.
You were taking off in Tiger Moths, your wings against the brush strokes of the day.

Anyone who visited Millie would remember her photographs of Kitty Hawk and the biplanes on her walls. She really was "Amy Johnson" from the time that she was small. That song was Millie from start to finish. The video version was masterfully done.   :salute:

Thanks Sam!! I sure hope there's an after life so you can meet Millie some day ... when you both have your own wings.

But don't challenge her to any flying contests ... she'll beat you every time!!   ;)

By the way Sam, I just took a look at the photos I presented to the City Council, and this one might bring back a memory:

Maybe a close up will help:

The previous picture had been taken from a screen shot of the City Council's video of my slide show. So it was quite fuzzy.

Sam, the hospitality you showed during that trip will be with me for life. Thanks!!
